Unnecessary Things we get ourselves worried about!

Unnecessary Things we get ourselves worried about!

Every one of us get worried ,well we are hard wired to do that but the real question is do we really need to get worried. Sometimes the reason is genuine and as bigger the fact that worrying is not going to help even bigger fact is we can’t help it.

But there are times when we get our head heavy of no reason and sometimes even with stupid reasons. Mind you, it can look stupid to you but to that person it’s like someone has dropped nuclear bomb or start of third world war. A very typical example is, (most of girls will relate with me on this is the “Hair Cut”) when we are out of salon with literally half of the length we went in it seriously seems end of the world for us! Now with that smile on your face, mentions below are few grounds that we get ourselves worried about.

Iterations of Work/Assignment: Most of us just want to wrap the work the moment it gets assigned, so that you can get it out of your work stack and from your worry stack as well. But remember it’s not the end of the work, but it’s just the end of iteration. Professionally speaking work is like a boomerang, at your EOD you’ll throw it to other person but next day it will be sitting back in your mailbox smiling at you. So, rather taking tension just step back at that moment, set small targets, take your time and enjoy learning.

Relativity: We often compare ourselves with others, their achievements, grades, salary hike; promotions, exam grades. To an extent its good as well as it help you push your limits but don’t let it go beyond that. Because, then it’ll start bothering you, your mood and then impact your performance. Worst case scenario you’ll might even end up with losing your good friend. See there is a very famous quote that says

Never compare yourself with others, you never know their situation”

So, just focus on what you are doing right now as if you are on right track the day will come for you as well.

Self-doubt: With people poking you, judging you it’s very easy to lose your vibe, your self-confidence and in no time you get into self-doubt. You start judging yourself, your decision and in no time Sehwag tries to play Dravid (to no cricketing background people one is former is an attacker and later is defender) and everyone knows the result! First and fore most thing is build your trust, not on anyone else but on yourself. Always remember

It’s you who was there
It’s you who is here
And It’ll be you who will make it there

Manager’s reaction: Professionally speaking Manager is the one person whom you look at while performing any task be it as small as sending a meeting invite or as large as managing any project. Having great feedback from him is good but no reaction is not always bad reaction. Secondly in order to have that to and fro going on have regular connect with your manager after all he is also a human being just like you and me.

Presumption leading to Misunderstandings:  Sometimes we presume things, things that only exist in our mind because we think it that way. The main cause of this is insecurity and disconnect. It’s very simple when you’ll be insecure you’ll think and if you have a dis connect you won’t clear things and that’ll eventually lead to misunderstanding. As simple is the problem as simple is the solution, “connect”. If there is anything bothering you then rather making your own discoveries just clear it out.
