The Fear Part One: 1994

The Plot

The story follows the notorious history of a town for murders. The story opened with the murder of a girl in a mall and the cop reaching moment after the final blow and killing the murderer.

The whole plot then gears up to the main layer where the lead protagonist along with her friends attended the memorial service for the girl who got recently murdered, there she met her ex-girlfriend which sparked some old spark and aired the dirty laundry. One thing led to another and the lead characters ended up in an accident at a dark location and weird stuff started happening from thereon.

The story from then on shifted to first understanding what, why and who? Meaning What is happening, Why it is happening as in what’s causing this, and who is responsible for this.

Then the final part was fighting with the bad and saving the friends but up to what extent it could have been done, you need to watch the show.

The Review

The show gave a mixed vibe of Stranger Things, Scream, a Zombie movie, and top of that a little sprinkle of the latest Conjuring movie. The confusion was from a lot of angles as in the story, the production, the background music, and so on. The production including the background music gives the whole Stranger Things ambiance as in the era looked more 90’s additionally the music didn’t actually align with the intention and agenda of the storyline. That left me as a viewer in a confusion that whether should I be scared or should be laughing. So, the whole intention of the show overall fell flat and even worse confused.

Story : 3

Background Music: 2

Overall 2.5
