Tomorrow is a story of grim reapers who protects people who are trying to commit suicide. Yes, you heard it right, Grim Reapers actually save people!

A unique concept that is based on the increasing suicide rate and declining birth rate in South Korea. The plot is set upon an afterlife management centre which is responsible for taking the soules from the world of the living and then deciding upon their fate further based upon their doings in the living world.

Suicide is considered a sin there as the person who gives up on their struggles to find an escape actually doesn’t value the gift of life and hence their journey never ends even in the afterlife as well. Their souls wander endlessly in hell. So, in order to make people avoid such mistakes, a team of Grim Reapers is formed whose sole purpose is to bring people back from the edge of emotions when they are considering taking their lives.

Every episode in the series focuses on different circumstances when people are forced to think that ending their life is the best way for them.

Such a unique episode is when the Team gets the case of a dog who tried to commit suicide. Creative and interesting right! I have never seen such a unique story and more importantly how it has been told from that dog’s perspective.

Kong”, a 13-year-old dog on the street who tries to come in front of a car, when the Team gets his case. To them as well it was a bit of surprise as they never handled the prevention of suicide case of an animal before. But, that was the beauty of the show and the storey teller that they considered suicide as a hurtful thing not only just for humans but for animals too.

Now the problem was how to understand, what was bothering him? Normally, these grim reapers hang around the victim trying to understand their life struggle and then guide them accordingly which couldn’t be done in this case.

For starters, they got him checked up and got to know that he is terminally ill and doesn’t have much time left. Which led them to the initial conclusion that, the owner abandoned him as he considered him a burden and too much to take care of.

But, they were Grim Reapers they definitely had special tools and technologies to get to know the truth about his life and his owner. So, they got a little footage of his past life where it was revealed that he was adopted by a kind boy 13 years ago and got immensely loved by him. He grew up with him and now the boy is a working man who loves him like a little brother. So, that cleared their doubts of the owner abandoning him.

Upon further investigation, it came up that the owner actually was looking frantically for Kong.

Then why was he on the streets? More importantly, why is he not willing to find his way back as dogs can find their way back.

Eventually, it got revealed that Kong (the dog) actually heard his owner talking on the phone that he will never leave him and cannot imagine his life without him. That scene went into a flashback when his owner got injured because of him and he felt really bad. So, in order to save his owner the pain of his death, he deliberately left the home and tried to end his life.

Even when the team contacted his owner who rushed to come back to see his friend, Kong was reluctant to go back. So, the owner had to persuade him to give him this chance of taking care of him and caring for him is the best love he has got in his entire life.

Just when they had a tearful reunion, another Grim reaper who was responsible for collecting animal souls arrived to take Kong back. So, Kong left the living world in the arms of his best friend!

This particular episode is very creatively written and even more beautiful directed as seeing from a dog’s point of view and then capturing those emotions can be a little difficult. But the writer and director did a fantastic job there and the camera work was very well done. As there were shots which were taken by the camera on the dog that actually gave a very realistic feel.
